Svm-DSmT Combination for the Simultaneous Verification of Off-Line and on-Line Handwritten Signatures
نویسندگان
چکیده
A combination handwritten signature veri ̄cation system is proposed for managing con°icts provided from each individual o®-line and on-line support vector machine (SVM), respectively. Basically, the system is divided into three parts: (i) O®-line veri ̄cation system, (ii) on-line veri ̄cation system and (iii) combination module using belief function theory. The proposed framework allows combining the normalized SVM outputs and uses an estimation technique based on the dissonant model of Appriou to compute the belief assignments. Combination is performed using belief models such as Dempster-Shafer (DS) rule and proportional con°ict redistribution (PCR) rule followed by the likelihood ratio-based decision making. Experiments are conducted on the well-known NISDCC signature collection using false rejection and false acceptance criteria. The obtained results show that the proposed combination framework using Dezert-Smarandache (DSm) theory yields the best veri ̄cation accuracy even when individual o®-line and on-line classi ̄cations provide con°icting results.

Use of the Shearlet Transform and Transfer Learning in Offline Handwritten Signature Verification and Recognition
Despite the growing growth of technology, handwritten signature has been selected as the first option between biometrics by users. In this paper, a new methodology for offline handwritten signature verification and recognition based on the Shearlet transform and transfer learning is proposed. Since, a large percentage of handwritten signatures are composed of curves and the performance of a sig...
متن کاملOff-line Arabic Handwritten Recognition Using a Novel Hybrid HMM-DNN Model
In order to facilitate the entry of data into the computer and its digitalization, automatic recognition of printed texts and manuscripts is one of the considerable aid to many applications. Research on automatic document recognition started decades ago with the recognition of isolated digits and letters, and today, due to advancements in machine learning methods, efforts are being made to iden...
متن کاملOptimizing Handwritten Signature Verification
Signature recognition is probably the oldest biometrical identification method, with a high legal acceptance. Verification can be performed either Offline or Online based on the application. Online systems use dynamic information of a signature captured at the time the signature is made. Offline systems work on the scanned image of a signature. We have worked on the Offline Verification of sign...
متن کاملSID Signature Database: A Tunisian Off-line Handwritten Signature Database
Our research works are concerned with checking the off-line handwritten signature. We propose a base of Tunisian static handwritten signatures. In this paper, we go through the phase of designing the SID-Signature database and its various features. Afterwards, we present the results obtained by this base as part of our system of handwritten-signature verification.
متن کاملTowards Automated Transactions Based on the Offline Handwritten Signatures
Automating business transactions over the Internet relies on digital signatures, a replacement of conventional handwritten signatures in paper-based processes. Although they guarantee data integrity and authenticity, digital signatures are not as convenient to users as the manuscript ones. In this paper, a methodology is proposed to produce digital signatures using off-line hand-written signatu...
